Epic Poker added a new tournament to the schedule which was open to both professionals and amateurs. The first $2,000 Turbo Tournament ran during Day 3 of the Main Event and attracted players who were no longer in the running for that title. 14 players entered the tournament run in the Key West room and it was a great field including Yevgeniy Timonskenko, David "Bakes" Baker, John Racener, Tommy Vedes, Sam Stein, Randy Dorfman, and host Ben Lamb. The turbo format kept things moving at brisk pace and finished with Andreas Hoivold as the winner. Hoivold was also one of our players who qualified for the Main Event via the Pro/Am qualifier. He collected $13,300 for the victory with Mortiz Kranich (2nd) and Sam Stein (3rd) rounding out those making the money.
