Steve O'Dwyer Conquering Europe

Steve O'Dwyer made the decision to move away from the United States so he could continue his poker career, both live and online, so he was soon off to Europe. It would be an understatement to say the move has been successful with a series of deep runs which culminated this weekend when he captured the WPT National Denmark Main Event title fo Dkr893,960 (~$160,000).

GPI Update: Failla Joins Top Ten, O'Dwyer in the Top Twenty

In a week when the final tables of the WSOP Main Event and the Partouche Poker Tour dominated the news, two of the hottest players in the world quietly made their way into the GPI Top Ten and GPI Top Twenty.

Stephen O’Dwyer Rockets Up the GPI

Stephen O’Dwyer (GPI#15), who won the first Epic Poker Pro/Am and was featured on EpicPoker.com as a Player to Watch, finished in second place last week at the £5,000 Main Event of the EPT/UKIPT London Open, leapfrogging 72 players.

GPI Update: Shawn Buchanan Cracks GPI Top Ten

Shawn Buchanan entered the GPI Top Ten this week. His excellent WSOP play from the summer boosted his ranking when his WPT Bay 101 result moved into the next period and he received a GPI score for his ninth-place finish in the WSOP $2,500 Limit Deuce-to-Seven Triple-Draw. Shawn’s total score increased by 111 points from the aging of the Bay 101 result, pushing him 8 places to GPI#10.

Michael Craig on Poker: Anyone (Good) Can Win

For as little as $180, Epic Poker offers a ticket to all the action any poker player could want: a ticket to the $1,500 Pro/Am, a chance to play a great tournament structure with some big-name poker pros, cash, entry to the $20,000-members-only Main Event, TV coverage on CBS and Velocity, and up to a million dollars. You have to earn it, of course, but it’s waiting out there for anyone who enters a single-table or super-satellite in the Palms Poker Room the Key West room at the Palms, or who buys in directly to the $1,500 Pro/Am this Friday and Saturday.
