Social Director: Soliciting Twitter Advice
November 23 2011, Bill Seibert  / Topics: Social Director, Twitter, Mike Mcdonald

In last week’s Social Director column I shared seven mistakes that poker players often make on Twitter. One of the mistakes I highlighted concerned how many tournament poker tweets lacked enough context and thus were hard to follow or didn’t elicit much feedback. On Monday, I noticed a positive exchange amongst some established poker pros that would illustrate the potential of such exchanges on Twitter.

Mike McDonald: Student and Teacher

Mike McDonald won Epic Poker’s second Main Event on September 9, earning $782,000. For the mass audience on Velocity and CBS, that triumph is as fresh as the broadcasts that debuted last Friday and Saturday. In the two months since the victory, McDonald has been busy.

8-Max Final Table Broadcast: What's at Stake?

With the 8-Max Final Table premier on Velocity TV and CBS, find out what was at stake for each of the players.

Key Hands from Event 2 Episode 1

Tonight is the debut of four hours of broadcasts from Epic Poker’s second Main Event. To encourage you to watch, or to encourage watchers to read about the event, EpicPoker.com has produced a Main Event 2 Companion [LINK]. The Companion features new content – like this Key Hands feature and a story about a game of Lodden Thinks [LINK] that broke out during Day 1 of the Event – as well as highlights from our original live-event coverage.

Winners & Losers: Tournament Winners Galore

Tournaments are finally getting into the swing of things within the poker world. The WPT kicked off with the Legends of Poker and Paris events, the WSOP Circuit has just begun in Bossier City, LA, and the EPT recently completed its second tournament in Barcelona. In all, with so many winners coming through the woodwork, it leaves very little room for failure. With so many tournaments going on throughout the world, it’s the perfect time for professional players to test their skills wherever they please. For the four winners discussed in this column, it looks like their decisions to play paid off.
