Rarely quiet, usually laughing, Failla has been one of the more well known players on the tournament circuit for years. In a week when the final tables of the WSOP Main Event and the Partouche Poker Tour dominated the news, two of the hottest players in the world quietly made their way into the GPI Top Ten and GPI Top Twenty.
Partouche Poker Tour Shakes Up GPI, Helppi Joins Top Ten
Juha Helppi (GPI#9) enters the GPI Top Ten for the first time, one of many players moving up the Global Poker Index on the strength of a great European performance last week. Will Failla (GPI#16), with in-the-money finishes in Cannes and Atlantic City climbs back in the Top Twenty. Failla, ranked GPI#77 after the World Series of Poker, has been one of the hottest players in the world the last two months.
Winners & Losers: Tournament Winners Galore
Tournaments are finally getting into the swing of things within the poker world. The WPT kicked off with the Legends of Poker and Paris events, the WSOP Circuit has just begun in Bossier City, LA, and the EPT recently completed its second tournament in Barcelona.
