Biography

Dan Fleyshman is the youngest owner of a publicly traded company in history. He founded Who’s Your Daddy with a high-school classmate and went public with the company at the age of 23. Fleyshman is the CEO of his latest successful endeavor, VictoryPoker.net.

The Latvian born player now splits his time between Las Vegas and Malta, where Victory Poker is based. His site sponsors some of the biggest names in the game and is headlined by Antonio Esfandiari. The two men are close friends and it looks like Esfandiari has shared some poker tips with Fleyshman.

Fleyshman was a recreational poker player in 2005 when he won a $550 NLHE event at Bellagio’s Festa Al Lago. He earned $26,740 for besting 148 opponents. A week later Fleyshman made another the final table at the Bellagio, in a $1,080 NLHE event. He was eliminated in 3rd place and earned $9,460.

In October 2006 Fleyshman finished runner-up in the $1,800 NLHE event of the CEO Poker Tour at the Trump Taj Majal in Atlantic City, earning $8,965. Dan went on to win the $5,000 NLHE main event. First place prize was worth $43,350.

In November 2008 Fleyshman won the Dennis Phillips Chip Leader Challenge at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas. The $10,000 NLHE shootout attracted 18 players and Fleyshman earned $73,480 for his victory.  During the 2009 Hard Rock Mega Stack Challenge series Fleyshman won an impressive number of tournaments. On the 14th he won a 19-player $500 NLH event and pocketed $2,760. Two days later he won a $340 NLH tournament made up of 33 players and earned $7,200. Fleyshman then went on to win the $2,650 NLH main event. That win was good for a $38,200 payday. The astounding performance was especially impressive since Fleyshman plays so rarely.

Fleyshman made his first World Series of Poker final table at the WSOP Europe in 2010. He was eliminated from the £10,000 NLHE Main Event in 7th place. For his deep run in the 346-player tournament Fleyshman earned his biggest payday to date, £118,643.

In August 2010 Fleyshman finished in 7th place in Epic Poker’s first Pro-Am at the Palms. He earned a $20,000 seat into the Main Event and $1,990 cash. In the 6-Max Main Event, he made it to 15th place, earning an additional $43,190.

Dan is not a professional poker player; he doesn’t even play very often. His tournament schedule boasts, at max, eight tournaments per year and when he is playing he is often on his phone checking up on his various ventures. Fleyshman is also a passionate philanthropist and recently started his own charity, The Model Citizen Fund. It provides backpacks full of necessary items, like food and personal supplies, to disaster victims and the homeless. One backpack loaded by the Model Citizen Fund has the potential to sustain a person in need for up to a month.
