Player to Watch: Brandon Meyers

He doesn’t look much like “norajean,” but that was his online poker moniker on Full Tilt Poker from the beginning of his career. He was also known as “oncommand” on PokerStars. Today, however, more people recognize him as Brandon Meyers, an online pro who is making big waves in the live tournament ocean.

Epic Poker September Pro/Am Recap

On Sunday, September 4, at 5:20 PM, Norwegian poker pro Andreas Hoivold busted Jaime Kaplan, a superb and accomplished online poker professional, in tenth place in the second Epic Poker League Pro/Am at the Key West room at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The remaining nine players won seats in Tuesday’s $20,000 Main Event. Ninety-seven players entered the $1,500 Pro/Am on Friday and Saturday, and there are at least that many unlikely stories about the event and its competitors.

Epic Poker September Pro/Am Day 1a

44 players came out on the Friday before Labor Day to The Palms Casino for Day 1a of the Epic Poker League Pro/Am tournament and 9 of them will return for Day 2 with a chance to win their way into the Main Event. There were big names throughout the field of amateurs and satellite winners including Phil Hellmuth, Erik Seidel, Gavin Smith, Andy Bloch, Kathy Liebert, Christian "charder30" Harder, and Shawn Patrick Green.

Epic Poker Pro/Am Final Results and Summary

Steve O’Dwyer, a 29-year old professional poker player from Doylestown, Pennsylvania now living in Las Vegas, won the first Epic Poker Pro/Am at the Palms Casino Resort today, triumphing at a televised final table presented for national television by Heartland Poker Tour. Out of 190 starters on Friday and Saturday, the final 6 players (in addition to the 9th, 8th, and 7th place finishers on Sunday night) already won $20,000 seats into Epic’s Main Event Tuesday. At the final table, the 6 remaining players played for cash and the honor of winning the inaugural Epic Poker Pro/Am.
