Velocity is a fully hi-definition (HD), upscale cable network targeting men that replaces the HD Theater cable network. Velocity debuts on Tues., Oct. 4 in more than 40 million homes. Prior to the change, HD Theater will offer a special sneak preview of the Epic Poker League on Fri., Sept. 30 at 10 p.m. ET. Velocity will also re-air each of the 20 hours of Epic Poker League programming twice on the weekends.
“Players and fans have been asking when they can tune-in to watch the Epic Poker League, so we’re pleased to share our national telecast schedule for CBS and Velocity,” said Jeffrey Pollack, executive chairman of the Epic Poker League and its parent company, Federated Sports + Gaming. “Epic Poker offers an innovative take on America’s favorite card game and our telecasts put an entirely new spotlight on many of the world’s finest players.”
All 20 hours of Epic Poker League television programming will originate from Palms Casino Resort, where each event in the Inaugural Season of the Epic Poker League is being contested. The CBS broadcasts will air on a combination of Saturdays and Sundays, while the first-run Velocity telecasts will broadcast on Friday nights.

Each episode of Epic Poker will be hosted by legendary, Emmy® award-winning sports anchor and reporter Pat O’Brien, who will be making his return to network television. Poker personality Ali Nejad will join O’Brien as co-host and expert analyst.
David Neal and 441 Productions will produce Epic Poker on CBS and Velocity. Neal, the Executive Producer and creative lead for the Epic Poker broadcast, has won 34 Emmy Awards, a Peabody Award and is one of the leading producers and executives in all of sports television. Working with Neal will be 441 Productions, who are collective winners of 23 Emmy Awards and one of television’s leading producers of non-fiction programming.
